Summary

In a spectrally stratified 1D mixed advection–reaction PDE used as a diagnostic model for laminar-to-turbulent transitions, we derive a rigorous exponent $-1$ for the initial-condition amplitude threshold $\Pi_c$ in the lowest active wavenumber $k_{\min}$.
